The Program creates informed practitioners who through a combination of theory and studio practice and a bias towards hybrid, cross-disciplinary experimentation, as opposed to narrow craft orientated traditional techniques, encourages students to externalize creative ideas using the full-gamut of what is available today in any field of knowledge. The aim is to generate thinking artists who are not only capable of operating locally or regionally, but internationally by producing relevant creative work. Students graduating from this program will be able to work as individual, professional artists, have some skills in art curatorship and as museum personnel and as freelance consultants in their fields.
